This month saw a lot of shows returning back after mid season break, a lot of new season premieres and also a few new series premieres.  Among these great entertaining shows that are pulling the TV-buffs back to the box are The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad (one of the all time best rated shows) spin off – Better Call Saul, Scandal, How to get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, Vikings etc.

Of all the most popular is AMC’s ‘The walking Dead’, returned last Sunday with a bang after mid season break. Into ninth episode of sixth season the series rides high on the popularity chart. Next episode The Next World” airs on Sunday.

Vikings, returning with its fourth season, first episode premiered last night. The series can easily be said the most popular on History Channel is set to rake in more popularity as the creator promises more ‘devastating deaths’ in Vikings season 4.Its next episode ‘Kill the Queen’ airs on Thursday.

FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, the new series from makers of American Horror Story, based on true crimes climbed the popularity charts. Episode 3 – ‘100% not guilty’ airs on Tuesday.

HBO’s Vinyl, the music-business drama set in the early 1970s, is already on the lines of making it another HBO popular series as its renewal is announced right within first week of premiere. Vinyl Season 1 Episode 2 Yesterday Once More airs on Sunday.

 

With these popular premieres round the TV Box, shows like Quantico, Fuller House and Reign are also gaining popularity which are due for come back in March16.

 

Quantico, Starring famous Indian model Priyanka Chopra, is set to return on 6^th March after mid season break. It gained instant popularity with viewers, and is among top in global popularity. Fuller House, a spin-off of the famous series Full House, is having a huge fan following and is set for grand premiere on 26^th Feb on Netflix. The show can also be seen on Couchtuner –Watch Series.

With the Sixth Mid-Season Opener of “The Walking Dead” all eyes were on Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Co. to save the Alexandria from the zombies. Though the streets at Alexandria are flooded with zombies, the gang surely wants to fight back like anything, and this major flow of energy comes directly from the memories filled with tragedies happened before losing the key characters.

Well deaths are a part of this show, people will come and die, new characters will emerge out of nowhere, but the main talking point of this episode was ‘Carl’ (Chandler Briggs), he got shot in the eye and now he’s going to see the world little different from others. The show deviated from the its comic series of the same name in the past, but glad that this time it stick to its roots.

Netflix to reboot CW original Gilmore Girls with the old cast members

With many stream line shows being already in its bag, another show is taken over by Netflix. This time Netflix alongwith  Warner Bros. Television has announced to revive the Gilmore Girls, originally aired on the CW for seven seasons.

Almost all the star cast are set to return. The new revived series will star Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Keiko Agena and Sean Gunn. Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino will return as producers.

Although the title of the reboot is yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that produers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino will be writing and directing all of the new episodes.

Billions renewed for a second season by Showtime

Showtime’s new series Billions premiered earlier this fall, received a quite good audience response. Billions is a very different take on the lifestyles of the ultra-rich and infamous. It follows the world of high finance and tells a story feauring power politics. The series stars Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti and is set in New York. Billions works best with show's most interesting and complicated character, and by a comfortable margin, is played by Maggie Siff. It’s a show draped in betrayal, the FBI, sex, corruption, the SEC & Metallica.

Overwhelmed with the reviews Showtime confirms renewal of Billions for a second season. The show has been renewed after the broadcast of two episodes of the first season only. It can be seen on Sunday nights at 10pm on Showtime or stream for free at CouchTuner-Watch Series.

NBC renews Law & Order: SVU for an eighteenth season

NBC has confirmed the renewal of another season for Law & Order: SVU. This will be the Eighteenth season of this crime drama series. The show is approaching Gunsmoke in the league for the longest running primetime scripted drama in the history of American television. It is just two seasons away from the feat.
